Chor Bizarre’s Memory Lanes
Walks into Delhi’s past (Includes Lunch)
These walking tours unfold tales of Old Delhi going back hundreds of years. One can savour the sights, smells and sounds of the fabled streets of Old Delhi with a seasoned 'Dilliwallah' – the walk leader. The leisurely pace and well-charted routes make these walks more personal than other tours.
The walk begins from Hotel Broadway, Asaf Ali Road. From the hotel the group travels on a tricycle rickshaw, to the world famous Jama Masjid. From there the group walks through Dariba Kalan, the silver lined streets of Kinari Bazaar to the ancient Digambar Jain Temple, onto the famous Paranthe Wali Gali, which leads to Chandni Chowk where the group gets to explore an ancient sweetmeats shop - Ghantewala, a bird hospital and a riot of colors at the flower market. The walk ends with a scrumptous meal at the celebrated Chor Bizarre – Delhi's Best Traditional Indian Restaurant at Hotel Broadway.
Lunch (Post Walk)
The restaurant captures the spirit of the 'Chor bazaar' or 'thieves market' within its kaleidoscopic interiors while serving authentic Indian cuisine in a unique atmosphere. An Aladdin’s cave of bric-a-brac and fascinating antiques, the resplendent furnishings and décor have been collected from various bazaars of India. Similarly, the authentic recipes are collected from different parts of India with the restaurant’s forté being Kashmiri cuisine. The piece de resistance at Chor Bizarre is the vintage car that serves as a unique salad and chaat mobile in which is laid out a lavish buffet.
Chor Bizarre also has branches in Lavasa & Mayfair, London.
